Fitness Sunday: Week 13

Fitness Sunday

Lucky number 13! Except, not so lucky. I gained a pound this past week. Not sure how that happened, but it might have something to do with my laziness on my days off. I’m not going to lie, I have been sitting around doing nothing on my days off. But that will change!

Yesterday I FINALLY started working out. It’s not a huge work out and most of the workouts are about 25 minutes long. But, I can feel muscles working that have been neglected for a while. And while I feel better after working out, I am not sore the next day. It’s cool for those of you that want to be sore the next day, but I have a ton of work to do while at work. I lift boxes all day and walk a lot. I can’t afford to be so sore I can’t sit on the toilet.

Anyways, I am doing the DDP Yoga thing. I have always enjoyed yoga. I have tried the easy yoga on the Wii as well as yoga with Jillian Michaels.

And I would probably do the Yoga meltdown video again, but there are some places where you are jumping and my ankle is not up to that yet. So I am sticking with DDP Yoga.

I like it and even though I have done it two days, I can already feel a difference in my ankle. I thought I would come out of it with my ankle throbbing, but it seems to be loosening it up and stretching it in just the right places.

Yesterday after doing the yoga I went to work and my ankle lasted just a tad bit longer before it started hurting. I’m really hoping this helps my ankle as well as helps me lose weight.

I want to lose 20 pounds by August, as I mentioned last week If I can lose 2 pounds a week I will lose 24 pounds by time my birthday week comes up. I just have to stick to this, stick to the plan, and really discipline myself.

As far as candy…UGH! It is my arch nemesis and it keeps winning! Or rather, I keep letting it win. I just have to be stronger. I know I can do it. I cut out soda over a year ago. I just need to approach it the same way I did soda…except when I cut out soda I was supposed to be cutting out all sweets. I have no idea how the soda thing stuck.

If someone could find me a hypnotist who can hypnotize me and make me no longer like candy or things that are extremely sweet (other than fruit!) that would be great. Thanks.

Until then I will just keep fighting the battle against these cravings. Fight the good fight. Fight to be fit.

I have this image in my head of the woman I want to be and the woman I want to be is strong, healthy, active, and awesome. I got the awesome part down…

How is your fitness going? Where do you struggle the most? Share any tips with me that you have learned along the way!

Don’t get me wrong. I love the burn the next day, cause it makes me feel like I did something right. But when you have to work 8 to 10 hours running around a store it just doesn’t work out too well for you. lol
